About the Public Service Commission
PPSC is the abbreviation of Punjab Public Service Commission. It is basically an organization or a body that governs the jobs in different departments for recruitment in various departments of the Punjab. How does the Punjab Public Service Commission work?

PPSC Job Salary
The salary in institutions working under the Punjab Public Service Commission varies with respect to BS level. For example, the salary for a gazetted officer started from PKR 30,000 to PKR 70,000 as per the basic pay scale of civil servants dated 03 July 2017 (last official basic pay scale update).

Paper Pattern for PPSC Jobs
The paper pattern for these PPSC jobs is simply the 100-marks paper, which you have to attempt in 90 minutes; the questions will be from the prescribed syllabus. PPSC Merit Calculation
If you got 80 marks in your written test and then 60 marks in your interview, then your merit will be calculated as
Written marks weightage = 60%
Interview weightage = 40%
Written test merit = 60% * 80 = 0.60 * 80 = 48
Interview Merit = 40% * 60 = 0.40 * 60 = 24
Total merit = 48 + 24 = 72
So your total score will be 72.
