About the Public Service Commission

PPSC is the abbreviation of Punjab Public Service Commission. It is basically an organization or a body that governs the jobs in different departments for recruitment in various departments of the Punjab. The advertisements are available in different newspapers and on the official website. They recruit domicile holder people in various departments that are under the control of the Punjab government.

How does the Punjab Public Service Commission work?

As we mentioned earlier, PPSC is a government body that offers jobs in government institutes, so it has control over all departments of the Punjab government; hence, they offer advertisements in different departments of the province once or often more than once in a month. They offer jobs at different grades, like BPS-16, 17, 18, 19, or even BPS-20, which are determined as gazette one officer posts. Thus, they have different requirements from the candidates, different eligibility criteria, and different qualification criteria.

Hiring Framework:

Once a candidate applies for a specific job according to his need and eligibility, then there will be the written test and then the interview. There is a specific type of test, the PPSC written test, according to his qualification and his BS level. Once he passes that test, then the merit list will be publicly available. The merit lists can also be checked on the PPSC official website or on this website. When a candidate gets his name on a merit list of the PPSC test, there will be a next step of an interview. After his selection in the interview, the PPSC will make the candidate eligible to get a job in that specific department.
